Richard "Rick" Senator Drums, Lead and Backup Vocals Years Playing Music: Off and on for over 30 yrs. History: I played classical flute for about 5 yrs while in school but then started playing drums in my early teens. I played in numerous garage bands in the late 60's and early 70's. Did frat house and bar gigs, playing rock and blues. The playing stopped for about 10 years while marriage and kids were the priority. I learned to play a little guitar, but picked up the sticks again in the 80's and a lot of jamming with other musicians and even did some recording. I've played with Geoff Harder and the Moonlighters, which marked the first official band that Gary and I played in a band together! Gary and I hooked up with Tommy and the core of CoMoTioN came into place. CoMoTioN is now into its 4th year. Gear: Presently using a Mapex Solid Maple Shelled Drums and Ziljian cymbals. Recently added Roto-Toms have provided some new sounds. |
