Gary "Yo" Senator
Guitars, Lead, Rhythm and Backup Vocals

Years Playing Music:
Off and on for over 30 yrs.

History:
I started playing acoustic guitar in front of my 5th grade school
music class. I can’t tell you when. Talk about scared. I got my 1st
electric guitar in 1964. My first band was The SideWalk Cast with
now percussion player for The Dukes, Tony Rivera. It was a lot of
fun using TV cabinets for mains. I finally ended up in a famous
country rock band called RUNN and played the Rochester circuit
for over 4 years. Started a small sound company back in the 80’s
and worked for a fantastic Blues and R & B band, King Juke.
Later on after a few more bands I started doing sound work for
Jeff Cosco, Mike Gladstone, of Uncle Plum & Mike Cosco for
about three years. After that I ended up with that great band from
“Shorts Bar” in Fairport, Geoff Harder and the Moonlighters for
over 5 years, which was the first official real band that my brother
Rick and I played together besides garage bands. After going
through a few of life’s long lessons Rick and I started play
together again and hooked up with Tommy “B” from the
Lowriders and then "Hurricane" Dave last year to form
Rochester's Alterative to Youth, …….."CoMoTioN".

Gear:
Currently using Mark Kean, Ibanez, Fender and Epiphone
guitars. A Yamaha Modeling amp and various BOSS foot pedals
round out the sound. I’m sort of an equipment nut like our bass
player. Always looking for that missing piece of equipment, keep
it light, no more TV cabinets.
