(Lat.) partius rockunrollus 2: a condition of civil unrest or insurrection, found at happy hours, taverns, festivals and local hot spots such as bubbling tar pits and nightclubs. 3: steady or recurrent motion, dancing your butt off, shaking your moneymaker. 4: mental excitement or confusion, from those songs rushing back into your head. 5: noisy confusion: from all that laughing, hooting and hollering going on all night long. 6: an agitated disturbance, when all those people dancing on bars and pool tables realize that the song has ended and have to climb back down to Terra Firma. It's no wonder that CoMoTioN is truly "Rochester's Alternative to Youth". When was the last time you went out and could hear the great tunes that you grew up with played out live? Unless you've heard CoMoTioN lately, it's been a long, long time. This four-piece band specializes in 60's and 70's Classic Rock and Roll, as they put it, "Playing what you been missin" What do they mean by that? Check out the song list and you'll see! Better yet come listen to the band in person at their next event and you'll hear what they mean. Look at all those smiles on everyone's face around you! They seem to be getting younger as the songs and memories transport them back to a different time and place. Don't be too surprised if you wake up the next morning with a grin on your face, and a song sticking in your head. (It doesn't hurt) Later on you realize it wasn't a time warp. You were caught up in the CoMoTioN! |
